Meet The Team

Learn More about the best Speech and Language Therapy, Feeding Therapy, and Orofacial Myfunctional Therapy Team in Coral Springs, FL

A  board certified speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of  experience, received her Bachelor of Science degree from Stern College  and her Master of Science degree from Brooklyn College. She has been  providing evaluation and treatment services to adults and children with a  variety of diagnoses including a specialty area in feeding disorders.  Susan opened Professional Speech Associates, Inc. in 2003. She became a  certified orofacial myologist in 2011. Susan works closely with  orthodontists and dentists in the area to provide a team approach to  treatment of orofacial myology disorders.

Susan Arnold

Susan opened PSA 17 years ago with the sole purpose of providing more comprehensive, leading edge therapy services

A  graduate of Nova Southeastern University with a Masters of Science in  Speech Language Pathology.  She also holds a Bachelors Degree in Nursing  from the University of Miami.  Kerry has worked as a pediatric speech  language pathologist treating a variety of communication disorders –  expressive/receptive language disorders, articulation and phonological  disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, autism, axpraxia, fluency,  dysphagia and neurological deficits. Kerry specializes in working with  patients with feeding concerns. She has also supervised graduate student  interns.  Kerry is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing  Association (ASHA) and is also a certified Early Steps Program Part C  provider in Broward and Palm Beach Counties.  Kerry has been a part of  the team at Professional Speech Associates since 2009.

Kerry Ackerman

Kerry specializes in a variety of speech disorders and works with children who have Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and Autism

Attended  Nova Southeastern University in 1998 where she graduated with her  Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology. She is a  Nationally Board Certified Teacher in the area of Mild to Moderate  Disabilities, as well as Reading Endorsed, and is currently working in  the school system. Melody has extensive experience working with children  who are on the Autism Spectrum, as well as working in the area of  Alternative and Augmentative Communication. She joined the PSA team in  2014.

Melody Paul

Melody is a nationally board certified teacher in the area of Mild to Moderate Disabilities.

Shannon  graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders from  University of Central Florida in 2009 and a Master’s of Science in  Speech- Language Pathology from Florida State University in 2011. She  began her career working in an Autism cluster and with early childhood  development. Shannon currently works at a K-8th grade charter school  providing speech and language services to students ages 5-15 with  varying communication needs. Shannon joined the PSA team in 2016.

Shannon Tulsie

Shannon currently works with K-8th grade charter schools providing speech and language services to students ages 5-15

Graduated  with a Bachelor of Arts from Old Dominion University in 2002 and a  Master of Science in Speech Pathology from Nova Southeastern University  in 2005. She specializes in working with the pediatric population and is  very knowledgeable in the area of Autism.  Allison joined the team at  PSA in August 2009.

Allison Lemelman

Allison joined in 2009 and has deep expertise in Autism related speech disorders

A  speech language pathologist with over 24 years of experience working  with children and young adults in the Broward County area.  She is  active in the American Speech Language Hearing Association and has held  several elected positions.  Currently she is a Coordinating Committee  member of Special Interest Group 16, School Based Issues.  Lisa joined  the team at Professional Speech Associates in August 2009.

Lisa Keane

Lisa has over 25 years of experience and is a coordinating committee member of Special Interest Group 16.

Attended the University of Florida where she earned Master’s degrees in French Linguistics (2001) and Communication Sciences and Disorders (2004).  She currently specializes in disorders of articulation, Auditory Processing, language acquisition for the hearing impaired/deaf, pediatric voice, fluency and reading comprehension, all of which she has extensive experience with both the public education and private therapy domains.  Shelly has worked at PSA since February 2009.

Rochelle "Shelly" Soffer

Rochelle has extensive experience Autism Spectrum Disorders and AAC Devices.

Graduated  with her Master of Science from Emerson College in 2009. She enjoys  working with both the adult and pediatric populations. Stephanie joined  the PSA team in December 2009.

Stephanie Brehm

Stephanie specializes in adult and pediatric populations

Graduated  from Nova Southeastern University in 2003. She currently works at an  elementary school as the ESE Specialist. Prior to that, she worked with  Pre-K through 5th grade students needing remediation in the areas of  expressive and receptive language, pragmatics, articulation,  phonological processes, stuttering, and voice. Elizabeth joined the PSA  team in 2003 and has helped implement many of the programs currently in  place.

Elizabeth Yanik

Elizabeth works at an elementary school as the ESE Specialist.

Graduated  with a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University in 2009 and a Master of  Science in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University  in 2013. She evaluates children, adults, and clients with a variety of  speech, language, and communication disorders. Melissa joined the PSA  team in 2009.

Melissa Seidenberg

Melissa evaluates adults and children for a variety of speech and language disorders

Received  her bachelor and master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and  Disorders from the University of Central Florida. She currently works at  a high school providing speech and language services for ages 14-22  with varying communication needs. She especially enjoys working with  fluency disorders and articulation remediation. Rachel is an active  member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She  joined Professional Speech Associates in 2017.
